cRIO-9038 and modules not found in the remote system>NI-cRIO-9038>devices and interfaces tab

hello, im trying to use cRIO-9038 in IN Max, i have updated the software succesfully like the explanation video on youtube Getting Started with CompactRIO at min 3:15 he gets the device and the modules with no issue but i do not as you can see in the screen shot.

any help is appreciated.

Is it the cRIO that is not connected properly, it looks like it is showing in the navigation pane, but maybe it is not running / conncted properly.

Or is it just the IO modules that you cannot see ? What IO modules do you have connected - have you checked compatibilty ?

I think on a recent project, we couldn't use Max to see all the IO modules, and had to use the Distributed System Manager to see them - unfortunately I am not really close ot that project and can't remember the specific issue, but worth checking DSM out.

Just found it - this states that "Only cRIO controllers with NI-DAQmx capabilities (cRIO-904x and cRIO-905x) and cDAQ systems provide access to C Series modules through NI MAX" - https://knowledge.ni.com/KnowledgeArticleDetails?id=kA00Z000000P7gtSAC&l=en-GB

But since your cRIO is not 904x/905x then this won't be applicable
