cRIO Thermocouple reads room temperature without thermocouple

Hi,

In my LabView 2010 front panel, 6 thermocouples reads room temperature ( looks good), but thermocouples are not connected in the end. it should show as open.

I checked channel number in block diagram, TC type K  & wiring in cRIO/ecat/c module.... all looks good.

Hi R007,

What specific hardware are you working with (cRIO, module)? Do you mean they are not physically connected to your module? If you have an open thermocouple, the reading will most likely tend to be an extremely high temperature. Have you set up a task in MAX? This might have to do with your configuration of the task.

Hi

Crio (9022) --> eCat ( 9144)---> TC module ( 9213)

from TC-  C module thermocouple wires ran upto field & at the end female connector also connected... but Thermocouple is not there

In LabVIEW, Channels # are correct & Module configuration is good - K type TC.

According to above condition- in screen it shown some maxi reading ... but it is reading room temperature... Even there is no change in reading in connect/disconnect TC from female connector.
