cRIO communication

Hi !

 

As a part of my internship , i am working in a project of diagnosis of defects of an induction machine using Labview and Compactrio,i am beginner in labview and this is my first time i use crio device, and i want to connect my Crio 9040 with a Data dashboard application installed in a samsung tablet in order to began the diagnosis test and get result of defects detection in this induction machine . my question is that is it possible to make this connection , if yes  how can i connect the crio with my tablette ??

Anyone have any suggestion or a tutorial i will be so grateful .

When you say "a Data dashboard application" are you thinking of a specific app that already exists or is that something that you plan on making (probably in LV). If it's the later, you might want to check out the sample projects here:

No , this app exist already ,it's a ni product , but i dont no how to make communication between my tablet and the crio , should i connect my Crio with a specific router or something like that ??

I'm not to familiar with the app but it looks like it can monitor any simple variables you have published via shared variables. You should not need to use a particular router, you just have to make sure the RIO and the tablet are on the same router.

There's probably a few things that need to be setup correctly on the cRIO (shared variable engine, web-services, etc) and then also make sure the networking router are all ok for allowing the correct ports through so that data can be exchanged - the details should all be in the documentation to make sure each of the individual componens are setup correctly.
