How can i do an analysis of the energy quality (220 VAC, 100 AAC) with compactrio?
What kind of tranducers can i use?

Hi Jaavier1,

In order to do analysis of power quality, you will probably need to isolate, filter, and attenuate the signals to measure the voltage and the current.  This can be done various ways.  You can use an ammeter to lower the current to a level that you can measure using the cRIO or use some other type of current sensor.  The voltage attenuation can be done several ways, but you will most likely need a voltage transducer.  The maximum input range for a cRIO analog input module is +/- 60 V and +/- 20 mA.  Some sensor recommendations are made in the following forum:

For more information on power quality measurements, you can take a look at:

Hope this helps.

Hi, I worked on something similar in my undergrad. I attach a summary which probably explains what you are asking for.

Hope this helps.

hi erin:

thanks for your response. I will try with a current transformer, and with a voltage transformer. Or maybe with an isoltation amplifier.
