Hi,
One of our end user is asking if/when they need to replace backup battery for sbRIO ( NI p/n 780461-01) so what actions need to be accomplished after tha? Do we need to setup board to get defaults setup for use? Can it be done on site?
Best regards,

Hello PeteQ,
You can find useful information by referring to the link below (Page 27 "Battery Replacement and Disposal"). It might answer your question.
NI sbRIO-9601/9602 and NI sbRIO-9602XT User Guide - National Instruments
Hope that this will help you,
Best.

Hi,
I have earlier read that part of user manual. I wonder if there is any other option. We need to know what actions need to be done if battery is replaced by our self. I presume that there are some setups which can be done by MAX so I would like to know is it even possible to do replacement any other way than sending cpu to NI.

Hello PeteQ,
You can contact your local distributor and get more information from them.
Best Regards.
