sbRIO-96X7 +5V power source for HMI?

From what I can see, all three current models (9607/9627/9637) support +5VDC @ 1.5A (?) on the riser connection. I'm planning on using the 2-port cDAQ riser card--with a 9866 and 9401 for LIN and PWM respectively--so that takes away that option. I saw the post about using pins 49/50 of the DIO port on the 9637 but that's the most expensive board and would be way overkill for IO points. I don't see any other options on the two lower models in the manuals. Is that correct?

Background info:

I'm looking at building an sbRIO-based embedded system for portable LIN/PWM communications. I need to add some kind of basic HMI to the box, preferably a touchscreen display. I'm familiar with character LCD/VFDs as well, so that's an option but will require discrete buttons. Of course it needs to be powered, so I'm looking for an exposed +5VDC pin. The whole system is intended to be run off DC power in a vehicle--possibly on the OBD-II port--and the overall size needs to stay small so an AC/DC transformer is right out. a DC-DC transformer might be doable in the enclosure but would be a last-resort.

Spoke with my sales rep today and he suggested the NI-9697 RMC (mezzanine) card, which has the two C-series connectors as well as the DIO connector complete with +5VDC pins!

Now I just need to figure out what touchscreen to use...
