to display statements on the screen in RT.

Hi all

Am using PXi 8186 with real time OS, i need to know if it is possible to display strings on the monitor connected to the PXI. i want it to be displayed as in on the screen as displayed by printf statement.

I am not sure about the monitor, but there are several very simple, to medium, etc devices you can hang off the serial port.

I don't remember where I found this vi, but I'm sure it's on the NI site somewhere. I haven't tried it, so let us know whether it works.  It is simply a call to "void printf(Cstr str);" in the msvcrt.dll.

There's an RT Debug String VI in the Real-Time>>Real-Time Utilities palette that does just that.
