1102, 1180, 1302, 1303... What's my option for analog output?

Perhaps I'm not even sure what I need is analog output.

What I'm trying to accomplish here is to trigger an external physical relay to shut off a series of test rigs in our shop.  I need to send a signal (I'm assuming analog voltage) from my setup to this remote relay and I have the following setup:

6224 PCI card (I think, I'm away from my system and manuals right now)
1349 module
1102 b/c module and 1302 terminal block
1180 feedthough panel (I know this has analog capability--pinout???) and 1303 terminal block.

What pins do I need to attach to for analog out on this thing?  I'm assuming since every time I search 'analog output' on here it sends me to something involving the 1180, it must have the pins for analog throughput.  What pins are they?  How do I access them?

It was emphasized that we would need shutdown capability when our sales engineer came in and help us set up our order and I have faith that he provided us with the components we needed.  At this point I can't figure it out on my own, can someone PLEASE give me some direction here?

Well if that's for the 1180, it should be the info I need.

?  20, 21, DAC0OUT and DAC1OUT would be the analog outs?  Since I have the 6221 and two analog outs...  Right?

What would be my return or negative then?  #23 AOGND?

Help...?

Hi Ralph,

Actually, if you have a 6224, then you cannot do analog output.  If you take a look at that board, you will see that it does not have any analog output channels.  However, if you have the 6221, it does have analog output channels, so you will want to connect them to pins 20 and 21 off of the 1180.

And yes, you want your return line to be AOGND.

Yeah it's the 6221.  Thanks for the input!

What would be the best method for multiple switching with a SCXI chassis...  I'd like to be able to switch/relay about 16 distinct relays in the future.  Any ideas?

The best method for switching would be to get a switch matrix or relay drivers:

Matrix Switch Modules

Relay Drivers

You should be able to find all of the information you need in there on how to use these for switching.
