AMUX 64T and windows 7 beta drivers and Labview

I'm not a software engineer so please keep answers simple! Smiley Happy

We have a piece of test equipment now running with beta drivers to allow software to run under windows 7, only now some of our software function appears not to work. One function that has apparently stopped working correctly is our usage count feature. At a specific point an email was sent to certain responsible parties and a message was displayed on screen advising the operator. Now, under beta drivers, the email does not get sent and no message is displayed. The equipment also locks out rather than allow the operator to continue whilst being notified of the current status.

I appreciate that there may be detail missing here but is it possible to know if these issues could be resolved in software or does it require a hardware modification to get away from using beta drivers?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, there are details missing. What is this beta driver? What is the software being used (i.e. LabVIEW)?

I don't know how a hardware driver would affect the ability to send an email unless it's generating an error and the software is not handling it. Can you attach the code you are running?

Thank you for taking the time to reply.

What I have been told is that under Windows 7 this Mux card requires Beta drivers to operate correctly. More than that regarding the driver I'm afraid I don't have any other information.

Yes it is Labview being used and I'm afraid I don't have access to code, sorry!

A while back, the traditional DAQ driver for Windows 7 was a beta release but for 32 bit, the official release is version 7.5 - http://www.ni.com/download/traditional-ni-daq-legacy-7.5/4498/en/

You can try installing that but since you are clueless as to what is installed and what is needed, I have no idea if that will make a difference. You are running an exe? You really need access to the source code. Someone has to have it.
