How do I configure a SCC-A010?

I have installed a SCC-A010 in an SC-2345 chassis which already had several working input modules. In MAX, I went to reconfigure the SC-2345, but the pulldown for J17 (where the AO is plugged in) does not give the AO10. Any suggestions?

Hello Brad,
I just tried the same thing, and the SCC-AO10 appears in the dropdown for slots J17 and J18. You might just need to upgrade to a newer version of NI-DAQ. You can get it free here.

Well, I have a partial answer. The E-series host board in this particular computer (we have several setups) is a PCI-6034E, which doesn't actually have AO! Duh. It begs the question, though, why does the configuration pull down still show a SCC-C020 as a possible choice? I have a workaround, but will need to eventually replace the host card.

Hello Brad,

I'm not sure why the configuration pulldown is showing an SCC-CO20 but not an SCC-AO10. I tried it myself with a 6034E and was able to see both modules in the pull-down list. I do have a couple of questions about your setup.

1) Are you configuring the SC-2345 in DAQmx or Traditional DAQ?
2) What version of the NI-DAQ driver are you using?

I don't think the driver checks to see if the board has AO capability in order to populate the module list, but I could be wrong. We'll get to the bottom of this!
