How do I utilize two AO channels from my PCI-MIO-16XE-10 through an SCXI system?

Hi there.

I've got a remote system running LabVIEW 8.5 and controlling an SCXI-1000 chassis with a PCI-MIO-16XE-10.

Inside the chassis are three SCXI-1102s and a SCXI-1163r. The chasss sits in such a way as expanding it is not feasible. I'm trying to say that the solution to this problem cannot be to add another SCXI card, as the chassis is full and I cannot expand it.

That said, what I would like to do is utilize the AO capability of the 16E10 somehow. I only need to send two signals, and believe the card's got the inherent ability to do so. So, how do I get in there?

I've got several CB-50s laying around, would something like that be doable? When I first used this system, we had an AT-AO-6 (I think, name may be slightly different), but of course that bus is hard to come by these days...

I'd certainly appreciate any guidance. Thanks in advance.

Hi king10208

Using a 50 pin cable (SH50-50), you should be able to connect the cable to the J1 connector on the side of your 1349 connector (which is attached to the back of one of your modules) to you CB-50. Pin 20 and 21 will correspond to ao0 and ao1 respectively and the ao gnd will be pin 23.

I hope this helps!
