How to use open thermocouple detection with SCXI-1102/1303? Is it possible?

I would like to use the open thermocouple feature on the SCXI 1303 but I can't find any vi or node that provides that functionality. Anybody?
I am using LV 7.1 and DAQmx 7.4.

Thanks,

Wil

Wil,

The 1303 has built in pull-up resistors that will rail the input signal when a thermocouple is open. To detect this in software, you simply need to check for an abnormally high temperature being returned. So, for example if you're using a K-type thermocouple, any reading over 1300 deg C can be considered an open thermocouple.

This KnowledgeBase article has some more details about Open TC detection: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/websearch/C2C7AB329ABC608986256D3D004C86AE?OpenDocument
