Salut Sébastien,
The SCXI-1349 is an adapter for connecting your DAQ device to the communicating module in the chassis. You should connect this to one of the SCXI-1140 modules. You can find connection information from the manual below:
SCXI-1349 Shielded Cable Installation Guide
You will only need to use the feed through module if you want to access the unused lines on your DAQ device for other purposes.
The tutorial below provides information on the physical connections for your modules, as well as software configuration in MAX using the Traditional DAQ driver. There are also links to many example programs:
Cascading SCXI Modules
If you're using the DAQmx driver, the software configuration is slightly different. Instead of configuring all stages except for the last one (in this case, the SCXI-1140) to parallel mode, leave all modules in multiplexed mode such that you can control them with a single board. Simply measure your signals from the SCXI-1140 module.
On a side note, the driver you need is dependant on the Data Acquisition (DAQ) device you have, the OS you're using, as well as the software you're programming in. You can find out the driver version installed by expanding the "Software" folder in MAX (Measurement and Automation Explorer).
Hope this helps,
Lesley
