Hi,I'm a newbie on using DAQ.
I want to use two load cells (2mV/V, 5 V excitation, 9.72mVDC at 100lbs).
I checked this forum as well as the other sources related to DAQ system for load cell.
What I can found in my lab are SC-2750 and PIC-6036E (and some other old DAQ cards). I also have a Keitlhey multimeter (I've heard other students used to use this one). I also have HP constant DC supplier (0-50V).
As far as I know, a specific module for full bridge strain gauge is required for load cell.
Can I connect the load cells directly to the SC-2750?

Hi georoid,
You will be able to measure the voltage from the load cell using the SC-2075 with the PCI-6036E. There is a 50mV range on the PCI-6036E that would provide the best resolution in that setup. You can set up a Custom Voltage Task with Excitation for your measurement if you are using DAQmx as your driver. You would choose to use external excitation and choose the appropriate values for your load cell. You can provide the excitation from your voltage source.

Thanks a lot. Steve
An NI engineer also visited to my office and he helped me to figure it out. He also gave some alternative options too.
