Logged Data Retrieval Problem

I am attempting to retrieve previously logged data using Operate  --> Data Logging --> Retrieve.
I can see that I have logged files [0..6]  3/14/2006 8:28:55 PM.857

However, my Waveform chart is blank and the x axis time labels read 7:00:00 pm 12/31/1903, 7:00:05 PM 12/31/1903, etc.

Hi,

When you retrieve logged data, you can view the data in the data retrieval toolbar. I am not sure how you have it connected to a waveform chart. Can you post a picture/VI to demonstrate ?

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.  Let me first say that I am new to Labview so I'm not sure if I am responding correctly to what you asked me to attach.  Attached is a jpg image of the screen I see when I try to retrieve the data.  I have the data retrieval toolbar at the top showing data from 3/14/2006.  The x axis on my log chart shows 13/31/1903 and my chart has no data.

Thanks

Hi,

I wanted to see a picture or code for the block diagram to see how have you attached the data to the waveform chart. To my understanding, when you retrive logged data you see it in the data retrieval toolbar.

Let me try again.  Attached is the VI file and a screen shot of the block diagram.

Thanks again for your help.

Hi,

A waveform chart logs only one data point at a time with front panel datalogging. If you wire an array to the chart indicator, the datalog file contains a subset of the array the chart displays. This explains why you are seeing a blank chart when retrieving data. I would suggest you use a waveform graph instead.
