MIcrophone amplification

Hello,

I am using sound and vibration card 4480 and a microphone PCB 378c01. I am trying to measure in an environment that is noisy and my signal-to-noise ratio is not good. Any idea how I can increase my signal-to-noise ratio and is there any setting in the card that can be changed? As this card is especially for sound and vibration measurement, I believe there will be something.

There is no setting that can magically fix the real problem at hand. Depending on the noise, you may be able to add filters in software or hardware (not in the instrument) to improve your SNR. You can more sound attenuation around your test setup to shield it and improve SNR.
