The Pt100 sensor is combined with the transmitter in one unit that's what the SEM206P is, and I have both 9208 and 9217 modules

Apologies but I am struggling to find an actual picture of the full unit, it is combined with a Pt100 sensor with the transmitter internally connected, so in effect all I have to connect up are the positive and negative terminals to somewhere??

Again apologies for my mistake, the SEM206P is not the total unit, I have a SEM206P which is connected to a Pt100 sensor in a combiened unit with the postive and negative terminals to connect.
Really should read what I am writing before I post.

Than you have 2 Options, both of them will work.
1) Using PT100 + Transmitter : Use NI 9208 : Connect (+) coming from the SEM206P to Vsup of NI9208 (19), connect (-) coming from the SEM206P to AI0 of of NI9208 (1) . Then use the sample program of NI 9208.
2) Using PT100 only : Use NI 9217 : Remove the transmitter connections of the PT100 sensor, then you will have 3 wires: Red, white and white. Connect Red to RTD0+ (1), connect white to RTD0- (2), connect second white to COM (3) . https://www.ni.com/docs/en-US/bundle/374187f/resource/374187f.pdf

not to mention, we usually struggle at the most simplest point, and people called experts are those who failed the most.
