PCI MIO 16 E1 and AntiDithering MODULE

Hello, I'm working in a proyect with 2 Incremental Encoder Mitutoyo, I have a Digital Read Out System for read the encoders, but is ver slow for my application, I want to use a DAQ Board, in other proyect in the company, I was using a PCI MIO 16 E1 and Encoders Heidenhain.

The proyect consist in measure a Paraboli Suspension for the cars; using 2 encoders, in X Length an Y for the thickness.

For eliminate vibration and Dithering I'm using the circuits LSI7184 between the encoders and the PCI MIO 16 E1, but this circuit is made for me.

The problem and the question is WHERE CAN I BUY A ANTIDITHERING MODULE for my application because my head, he don't likes circuits made for me, for maintenance he say that is better buy a comercial module for eliminate Dithering Effect of Vibration.

Thanks for your Help users and companions of LabVIEW and Products National Instruments, (I'm using LabVIEW 5.1.1.

Greetings and Blessings.

Ing. Jorge Alonso Cardozo Rodriguez.

Thanks for your help, Blessings.

Hi George

Thanks for the post.  Answering your question, you can disable dithering on DAQ devices (your PCI MIO 16 E1).  This feature can be enabled or disabled by calling a Traditional NI-DAQ function directly.

Use the function MIO_Config, which is contained in nidaq32.dll. This function can be called like any normal DLL function. The documentation for MIO_Config installs with NI-DAQ. Navigate to Start»Program Files »National Instruments»NI-DAQ »Traditional NI-DAQ Function Reference Help for more information about this function.

So, you dont have to buy anything new to make your acquisition, you just have to configure your DAQ device to do it correctly.

Hope this helps you with your application and let me know if you have more doubts about it.

Can you tell me is this option available in DaqMX.  I am having the same issue with using a pci-6602 counter/timer board.
