What setup can I use with Component Works and Visual Basic with NI equipment to measure proximity ?

I have all sorts of NI equipment. I program in Visual Basic with Components works, which I already have. If I don't have what is needed, it's just a purchase requisition away.

Is it SCXI stuff or DAQ stuff or related to fieldpoint etc.?

Depending on what you have will decide the command syntax.

So epxlicitly telling the equipment name will help me.
