Reading TEDS data for SCXI 1530 sensor in DAQmx Task

Have SCXI 1000, 1600 & 1530 with TEDS capable microphone.
(System Info: LabVIEw 7.1.1, DAQmx 7.3.1, Windows XP)

Created DAQmx task and collecting data.

How do I import TEDS data?
(The TEDS option under "Devices and Interface" only allows Virtual TEDS)

How can I get access to the gains on both SCSI 1600 and 1530 via DAQmx?

Can I run this system in parallel mode to bypass "sample and hold" to reduce settling time?

Steven,
First of all, the 1530 is not capable of reading a hardware TEDS sensor. The best option for you would be to set it up as a Virtual TEDS sensor. To set up a V TEDS sensor, first set up the chassis, 1600, and 1530 in MAX (Measurement & Automation Explorer). Once those devices are set up, click on the 1530. You should see an option along the top of the window for 'Configure TEDS', click that. There you can set up your V TEDS (import your TEDS file). You can easily find the Virtual TEDS file for your sensor by going to the following link and clicking the link for 'Download Virtual TEDS files'.
http://www.ni.com/pnp/
Additionally, the gain of the 1530 and 1600 are set by NI-DAQmx automatically, based on the input range you select.
As far as running in parallel: One 1530 by itself can not be run in parallel. However, multiple 1530s can be run in parallel with each other, but this can not be done with the 1600. You would need a DAQ device (like M or E series) for each 1530.
Hope this info helps.

Thanks Alan,
G.R.A.S manufactured the microphone...they are not listed on the NI website so I'll have to skip that feature.

As to running in parallel (so I can get the fastest data acquisition rates.)
I am using only once channel of the SCXI 1530 for a microphone and it is the only data being acquired by the SCXI 1000 chassis.
The manual mentions that the SCXI 1600 runs in multiplexed mode ONLY so can't do anything there.

The SCXI 1530 manual mentions (p 2-6) that a faster scan rate can be achieved if it is operated in parallel mode with sample-and-hold disabled. Is this an option when using the SCXI 1600 & SCXI 1530 together? If so, can you tell me how to disable sample-and-hold?

Finally,
This is my first time using the message board. Is it possible to delete a posting? (I accidentally posted the same question twice.)

Hello,
If you are interested, you can check with the manufacturer of your microphone. They might have a TEDS file that we do not have on our web site.
The text that you are referring to from the 1530 only applies to modules being used in parallel mode. So that is not applicable in your case.
Lastly, there is no way to delete a post, so I posted a link to this thread under that question.
