Hi, is it possible to use NI SCC-TC01 and SCC-TC02 modules in the newest DAQmx sw?
We have made a lot of trials but without any success. The other SCC modules are OK.
At the moment I have NI USB-6255 and SCC-68 adapter board. Please can you give any tips how to use SCC-TC0X thermocouple modules?

Ilkka

Hello,
According to NI-DAQmx 21.3 Readme the NI-TC01 is supported but I think it is related to USB version of it.
Which version of DAQmx you are using?

Hi,
I use DAQmx 21.3. I have also the USB-TC01. That works OK, but we need to make continuous buffered data acquisition by using the analog inputs.
The old SCC modules would be very practical for us.

Hello,
I've checked the documents.
I wonder what is the issue in our case?
The problem is a physical connection or you are getting an error on LabVIEW?

Hi, There are just some small millivolts in the analog input. Cannot get right scaled temperature values out from the SCC module. BR, Ilkka

Can we be sure that it is not a hardware issue?

yes.. it can be HW issue too. We have tested several SCC modules and data acquisition cards. But the thermo element measuremets are not OK by using the SCC-TC0X modules.

Hello,
So, I'm afraid that the issue is most probably in the hardware.
I would recommend having it sent for repair but as the hardware is old I'm not sure that the repair service will work for it now.
It is better to renew the hardware as a solution.

We have tested several SCC-TC01 and SCC-TC02 modules and three different mother boards for those.
The other SCC modules are OK (strain gage, feed throught), the problem is just SCC-TC0X.. we have those 5 pieces..
