SCXI1102 switching off 2hz filter

Hi recently the company I work for purchased 3 SCXI 1102 modules for the SCXI1000, this was done due to the recommandation of the NI sales agent after discussing our needs.
The device was suppose to be able to transfer voltages at 1ms per sample, but after trying to record data for a square wave runing at 5Hz we were only able to get a trianfle wave. after looking at the specification of the 1102 I found it has a 2Hz low pass filter on it, I have discussed this with the sales person and he sayed that we should be able to switch off the filte, How do I do this?

Phil:

I do not think it is possible, it is part of the hardware, see this post:

Hi,
unfortunately the 2Hz filter is fixed, and cannot be disabled.
I would suggest contacting the sales engineer again, and discuss the requirements of the system, as there may be another board which satisfies your needs better. (such as the 1102C which has a 10kHz filter, or the 1102B with a 200Hz filter : http://www.ni.com/pdf/products/us/4scxisc278_ETC_196.pdf)

Hi Sacha,

Thanks for that information, this was what I originally told the sales agent, but now I have the problem of being sold some equipment that isn't upto the job we need it to do, the 1102C would have been ideal for our situation.

Hi,

fortunately this is a rare occurence. If you could call your internal sales engineer or your field engineer to discuss this situation, we'll sort it out.

I apologise you've been put into this situation, but we will work to resolve your issue if you can call in on 01635 572410 and ask to speak to your internal sales engineer.

Without knowing your identity I can't find out who your field engineer is, but if you call into the office, they'll be able to find that information out from you.

Thanks
