SG24 NRSE Terminal configuration? Also can't acquire SG24 ai0 and ai1 at the same time.

I have successfully installed the SCC-68 with the PXi-6221 M-Series card in MAX, and was able to select the modules that I have installed in the SCC-68 Mod 1 and Mod 2 bays.

In Mod 1 slot I have an SG24 and in Mod slot 2 I have an SG11 (for shunt calibration).

Why when I create a Virtual Global Channel for either a Voltage or voltage with excitation input does the terminal list as NRSE when the connections to the SG24 are differential?

I am also not able to acquire data on both channels at of the SG24 at the same time!  Is this actually correct?

I expected to be able to acquire load cell information on the independent input channels to the SCC-SG24 module installed in the SCC-68 simultaneously.  Please explain why this is not possible, or what I need to do in my configuration to be able to acquire both channels off the SG24 at the same time.

EDIT:  Ok I created a Task with both virtual channels in it. and it appears that I can read both channels of data at the same time using a task that reads both.

Thank you,

Ryan

Hi Ryan,

Thanks for posting. I am glad you got the virtual task created for both channels. Feel free to post back if you have any further difficulties.

Knowledge Base ID 423I4F4G: SCC-A10 Measurements Show Up As NRSE In MAX is for a different module but it does a good job of explaining why Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX) will only allow you to select NRSE as the terminal configuration when setting up a voltage task. This Knowledge Base should answer your question. Please let me know if you have any further issues.

Thanks, Mallori M.
