Thermocouple measure in RSE mode using SCB-68

Dear Folks,

I am using PCI-6251 DAQ board and BNC-2090a and SCB-68 accesories for my experimental set-up.

Now I am trying to measure temp. using J-type thermocoupe and CJC feature in SCB-68.

I checked channel 0 for CJC and it shows 21 oC in RSE mode after change the scale according to the manual.

But if I use RSE mode in channel 1( I change the switich in BNC 2090a to SE) with J-type thermocouple, I could not get right temp. I wired Red to 67 pin (AI GND) and White to 33 (AI1) of J-type thermocoulple to SCB-68 terminal. I checked CJC enable box in SCB-68 configuration in MAX.  I also correctly set-up the jumpers in SCB-68.

What did I do wrong?

Help me....

Suggest you configure the CJC for DIFF mode.  See this thread for solution to very similar problem.  http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&thread.id=377862

Centerbolt is correct,

Your CJC Thermocouple needs a Differential Confguration.

See Knowledge Base below

I am facing the same problem,I am trying use CJC of BNC-2120 thermocouple Ic sensor for temperature measurement, but I am not able to acquire it with M6289 mass terminator device.
Whenever I make labview program using DAQ assistant, using ai1 as physical channel and ai0 as temp ref for CJC(default in device),It is giving daq error that task is not specified.
I don't know what is the program whether 6289 can control temperature sensor directly or not.
Please assist me in this regard.

Hi Anuvohr,

Can you please tell if you’re getting a specific error code and post your code? Meanwhile be sure to review the information given in these knowledge bases: Reading Thermocouples Using CJC on the BNC-2120 and BNC-2120 Temperature Sensor on M Series Second Connector.

Have a good day!
