Trouble Acquiring Analog Voltage Signal. SXCI- 1180 w/ 1302 Block

I'm using an 1180 Feedthrough Panel with a 1302 terminal block- trying to acquire an analog voltage signal (+/- 10v).

The signal is coming from a hydraulic digital controller which is measuring LVDT feedback from a closed-loop actuator system. The "Signal Out" connections from the controller are analog BNC which outputs nothing more than the +/- 10v relative to the LVDT signal.
Using Signal Express and the 1180/1302 module combo I cant seem to pick up these voltages. From the BNC output of the controller I've split the leads and connected them to terminals 2&3 of the 1302 block. When I create a Global "Voltage" channel the only devices that are present are the two bridge board modules (16 channels total).

So I guess my first question is how do I set up a channel to acquire the external analog voltage?
And second is why isn't the feedthrough panel and 1302 breakout block appearing as a device like the bridge boards modules are?

Thank you for your patience, this hardware is new for our lab and the learning curve is still a bit steep and overwhelming...

CabShake,

The 1180 is not a module that can be recognized on the DAQ card. It allows you to access channels that are not being used on the DAQ card. These are channels that are not used for SCXI communication. As such you should be able to connect your signal to the 1302 terminal block and see them on your DAQ card's channels. I would also use the Test Panels in Measurement and Automation Explorer first to see which channel your signal is on.

Hope this helps!
