Where can I find the standard distribution libraries?

We just bought LabView. I downloaded "Measuring a Single Strain Data Point". It does not contain "ALSampleChannels.vi" and "Convert Strain Gauge Reading.vi". I do not know where to find the "standard distribution libraries."

Greetings,

The "standard distribution libraries" should have been installed with LabVIEW. These two VIs should be located in the following locations in LabVIEW:

AI Sample Channels.vi
Functions >> Data Acquisition >> Analog Input

Convert Strain Gauge Reading.vi
Functions >> Data Acquisition >> Signal Conditioning

Furthermore, these VIs should be located in 1easyio.llb and ZDAQUTIL.LLB (respectively). These LLBs should reside in the following location (or similar):

C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 6.1\vi.lib\Daq

If you do not have these VIs, it appears that you do not have LabVIEW support installed for your version of NI-DAQ. Did you have NI-DAQ installed on your computer before you installed LabVIEW? If you have a version of NI
-DAQ other than the version installed with your copy of LabVIEW, you will need to install NI-DAQ support for LabVIEW.

If you have further questions, let me know. Good luck with your application.

Spencer,
Thank you!
We had an older version of NI-DAQ installed so that when I installed LabVIEW 6.l and opened the New VI, the DAQ button was missing from the Functions Pallete. When I tried to add the 6.0 LabView Support in the NI-DAQ file, Windows 98 crashed. This happened twice. I removed the NI-DAQ and reinstalled the NI-DAQ and all is well. Hooray!!
