can't find SCXI - 1180 in the digital inputs list

Dear sir,

       I have the following in my system:

            - DAC "PCI-6221"

            - SCXI  1100

            - SCXI  1180

            - SCXI  1000 chasiss

            - cable for DAC to chasiss.

            - 1349 for SCXI 1180

            - 1300 & 1302 for modules.

I installed the system and it can be seen by labview 8.5.

when I need to include analogue input a list appeared to select from it (two groups PCI-6221/SCXI 1100) but when I need to include a digital input the only list avalaible (PCI-6221) but i expect to see SCXI-1180, but if the SCXI-1180 is not communicating with SCXI-1000 backplane so how to see it in labview and also how to access it.

if there is a sample it will be a kind of you.

Hello Eyad,

Thanks for posting! I understand that you have an SCXI-1180 Feedthrough Panel which you would like to use to access some digital lines on your PCI-6221. The fact that you only see the PCI-6221 appear in the list of channels is correct. You do not actually configure the SCXI-1180 as part of the SCXI system since it does not communicate with the backplane. Therefore, you will simply regard this slot as "Empty" and you will use the normal channel names of the DAQ device to access the lines you wish. In this way, the SCXI-1180 can pretty much be regarded as a simple accessory for the DAQ device, and so only the DAQ device channels need to be referenced. This is explained in detail in the online KnowledgeBase article titled "How Do I Configure My SCXI-1180 in Measurement & Automation Explorer?". Please note that you may not have access to some of the digital lines of the DAQ device, since some of these lines are used for communication with the SCXI system. Hope this helps,
