changing ai range of the NI 6221 (PCI)?

Hi,

I want to change the AI range of the 6221 to lower intervals expressed in the 6221 user manual for example [-100mV,100mV] but i can't. Is there anyone which is experienced with this?

The other question is I want to give external excitation to a single point load cell but I can not modify the excitation mode from internal to external in the max. It gives me an error.

Thank you for your interest.

Hello,

Looking at the 6221 Specifications Manual, the smallest Analog Input range is +/- .2 V.  You can set this range with the DAQmx Create Channel.vi using the max. and min. value inputs, when using an example like Acq&Graph Voltage-Int Clk.vi located in the Example Finder .  If you are using a DAQmx task the range can also be set the max. and min. inputs for the Input Signal Range.

Please provide more information about the application.  Are you using LabVIEW .. the DAQ Assistant or a NI-DAQmx task?  You mentioned that you are using a load cell .. are you using any signal conditioning hardware, like a SCXI system?

If you have access to an excitation mode, what measurement type is the task you are using?  What is the error number?
