pxi 6289 analog out issue

I am trying to generate an analog signal on AO2 of a pxi-6289 card that uses a scc-68 box on connector 1 (connector 0 is communicating to a SCXI unit).  My goal is to generate a series of pulses to trigger a spark ignitor.  For test purposes I go into the Measurments and Automation application and try out test panels.  I was trying a sine wave at around 60Hz 1V RSE continuous, when I start it there are no errors and it shows it is running but when I monitor that channel with a scope I am not seeing the waveform.  I did notice a note for AO2 and 3 on the wireing diagram (nc on some units), are these channels unavlible to me? or am I just overlooking somehting.  I've checked the wireing over and over and have reset the device a few times (it always passes self check) so I'm relativley confident the setup is correct.  Any help on what to try next would be greatly apriciated.

Hi!

Since you have a SCC-68 breakout box I would recommend sending your 60Hz 1V sine wave back into one of your analog inputs.  Then go into Measurement and Automation Explorer and create an analog output task and an analog input task.  This will allow you to see if your board is sending out the correct values.  Also, you should be able to access all of the analog output channels (AO1, 2, and 3).

For more help on creating analog outputs, I would check out the NI-DAQmx help:

Start>>Programs>>National Instruments>>NI-DAQ>>NI-DAQmx Help

Once in the DAQmx help, navigate to:

NI-DAQmx Help>>Common Applications>>Voltage Generation
