If you got that message after trying to verify the chassis in MAX, either the chassis' fuse is blown or the chassis has an extra hardware failure and is not being able to be recognized.

We narrowed it down to control board in the chassis. I have a new one on order.

Today I got the same message you did when trying to install a SCXI 1001. The fuse is not blown, how did you narrow it down to your control board?

By swapping parts from another SCXI 1000 I had.
