I had problem with setting up the sampling rate for DOs.
I have a SCXI-1163 (DO) with a terminal block SCXI-1326. I like to log the
status of the digital lines and also be able to change the status of them on
demand.
The attached VI did not run. If I removed the DAQmx Timing (Sample Clock) VI
it run but I got too many points. A sampling rate of 1000HZ is good for me.
What is the proper way to do this?
Thanks in advance.

P.S. I am using Labview 7.0. Please email me a screen shot if you are using higher version.

Hi JayGao,
If I’m not mistaken the 1163 is a multiplexer module, can you confirm me that you have the one linked here. What DAQ
device are you using to control this SCXI module? I would suggest taking a look t this tutorial for more information regarding data acquisition with our
devices: Learn 10 unctions in NI-DAQmx and Handle 80 Percent of Your Data Acquisition Applications, Tips and Techniques in Data Acquisition Triggering - NI-DAQmx
and Timing and Synchronization Features of NI-DAQmx.
I’ll wait for your answers to give you a better solution.

Jamie,
Thank you for looking into this and providing links.
I am using SCXI-1163 - very similar to the link in your email but not exactly. I am using windows XP and Labview 7.0.
1163 is a DO module and I am using it to control two solid state relays. The vi I posted is trying to logging the status of two DO lines so that I know the history of them.
I read the links and tried something but nothing worked yet.
Please let me know if you get a chance to look into it.
Greatly appreciate your time and help.
