scxi-1349 U1 chip replacement?

I have a couple of used SCXI-1349 units.

One unit operates fine. The other does not.

The reason the one does not work is because of some missing chips. I can tell by comparing the two.

The chips missing are R2 (100 k-Ohm resistor) and chip U1 which has text on it that reads 'E2.'

What is the mysterious 5-pin device? Manufacturer? Part number?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Hi Matt,

I'm not sure why you are missing parts but I'd like to get the part numbers from you to determine if the two boards are different revisions. Also, the serial numbers would be beneficial. I doubt that simply replacing these parts is the key to getting your board to work and you'll probably need to RMA the device.

Just a reminder, I only have one bad unit.

I dont want to have to send the bad one in. Here is the P/N: 182225-01 Rev B. However, my unit does not have a Serial Number.

Note: Both units have the same Part Number.

Thanks!

I am having trouble remembering if I was contacted regarding the U1 chip. I cannot find the answer in my email.

I would be very appreciative if someone could re-answer my question.

I am looking for the model/part number of the 5-pin device labeled E2 on the chip and U1 on the circuit board.

I have no problem being contact outside of the forum.

Thanks!
