sensor filtering

Hi,

I am using Interface force sensor (load cell), Labview 8, and E6062 DAQ card. The data from the sensor is noisy and I need to filter it. The bandwidth of my signal conditioner is 60Hz, and when I send my data in the labview from the DAQ assist to Filter (low pass filter, with butterworth topolgy) I get an error, althought I assign the cutoff frequency 0.5 sample frequency. Any suggestion? Thanks, Azadeh

Azadeh,

I have taken a look at your VI, and the problem is with how you configured your DAQ Assistant Express VI.  You configured this VI for one sample hardware timed.  When you do this, the dynamic data type signal is missing some timing information.  To correct this problem, double click on the express VI, and change the acquisition mode to continuous, and set the samples to read to 1.  This will give your Express VI the same output, however it will contain all the timing information (i.e. dt).

I made these changes to the VI, and it works for me.  I have attached the modified VI.
