sensor

Hi NI team,

Right now i'm using this type of sensor (https://www.te.com/commerce/DocumentDelivery/DDEController?Action=srchrtrv&DocNm=805M1_Accelerometer...) and connect it with labjack & labview to get the voltage output.

But, after i got the reading, i compared it with the ADASH vibration analyzer reading. Both readings are unequal. Reading in labview smaller than in the vibration analyzer

Do my sensor need signal conditioner or amplifier to get the right output reading?

I see that the sensor does not respond to DC, so assume you are testing it with some sort of movement?

When you say the "readings are unequal", what readings are you talking about.  This is an AC sensor, so are you referring to max, min, frequency, rms, true rms, or something else?

How are you getting your readings from the LabJack?  Are you acquiring one or more waveforms and then doing math in LabVIEW to determine the parameter of interest?

Smaller?? How much smaller?

How did you do the comparison ? What value? How do exite, positions of both sensors ...

Do you have calibration values for both units? (the linked datasheet tell a 10% tolerance in the sensitivity)
