Hello Julian Aristi,

Thank you for contacting National Instruments. You didn't mention in your email whether you configured your Chassis in MAX. You mentioned that the SCXI-1000 was not detected in MAX (which is not supposed to be, you need to configure it). Right click on DAQmx devices --> Create New DAQmx Device --> NI-DAQmx SCXI chassis --> SCXI-1000. After you configure the SCXI-1000, select the communicating device and the slot that is communicating with the DAQ card (slot 1 if your SCXI-1125 is in slot 1). Click Save and the SCXI chassis need to auto detect your module (SCXI-1125) if the terminal block SCXI 1313 is not configured, no problem you could manually select it from the list but most important the SCXI-1125 need to be automatically detected. Double check on the chassis address in the front of your chassis and make sure that it matches the software configuration (The chassis tab in the SCXI Chassis configration) After this is done, you could test the module by right clicking on it (SCXI-1125) and selecting the test panel.

If you have NI-DAQ 7.2, it would be a good idea to upgrade to our latest driver version NI-DAQ 7.4 that you could download from the following Link

Please let me know how things work.

I to do configure the scxi 1000 in MAX and i follow all the steps of the manuals, but MAX don“t recognize the chassis because the TEST is failed: unable test in this moment. I think that the problem is the bios of my PC, because the DAQCARD if is recognize in the MAX, but when i connect the SCXI to DAQCARD, the MAX disable the DAQCARD and the Device Manager of tab HArdware of Windows, the scxi with DAQCARD appear as a device unknow: PCMCIA MTD-0002, (the DAQCARD only if appear carrectly in the Device Manager). do you help me???

thanks!!

Julian,

About the card not being configured, it is apparent that either your driver was not installed properly or your DAQCARD is not operational. There could be other reasons as well. At this point please uninstall your DAQ driver from your computer by going to Add/Remove programs and uninstall National Instruments Software (Select Traditional NI-DAq and DAQmx from the list of software to uninstall). Download the latest DAQ driver and then install it and try to remove the card and then plug it in again and see if that works. Please let me know how this goes.

HELLO AYMAN. I TEST THE DAQCARD IN MY PC AND IN OTHERS PC“s AND IT WORKING CORRECTLY; THEN I KNOW THAT MY DAQCARD IS OPERATIONAL. OTHERWISE, I INSTALL THE SCXI (1000, 1125 AND 1313) IN A PC DESK WITH A DAQ AT-MIO-16E-2 AND THE MAX RECOGNIZE CORRECTLY THE SCXI 1125, AND THE TEST OF THE CHASSIS WAS SUCCESFUL. THEN I KNOW THAT MY SCXI IS OPERATIONAL. ALSO UNINSTALL THE NI-DAQ AND I INSTALL THE VERSION 7.4, BUT THE PROBLEM IS IDENTICAL: I PLUG IN THE DAQCARD IN THE PC (WITHOUT SCXI SYSTEM)AND IT APPEAR CORRECTLY IN MAX, BUT WHEN I CONNECT THE SCXI SYSTEM TO DAQCARD, AFTER OF ADD THE CHASSIS, THE MAX DON“T DETECT THE SCXI 1125 MODULE, THEN I INSERT MANUALLY THE SCXI 1125 IN THE SLOT RESPECTIVE; BUT WHEN I TEST TO THE CHASSIS APPEAR THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE: ....THE SLOT 1: IS EMPTY. ADITIONALLY I RUN TEST PANEL OF SCXI 1125 BUT APPEAR THAT EXIST AN ERROR BECAUSE THE SCXI DON“T IS CORRECTLY CONECT, BUT I CHECK THE CONNECTIONS, POWER, PINS AND ALL IS GOOD. OTHERWISE, I CHECK THE DEVICE MANAGER OF WINDOWS AND I HAVE THE FOLLOWING CONCLUSION: WHEN PLUG IN THA DAQCARD WITHOUT SCXI SYSTEM, THE DEVICE MANAGER RECOGNIZE THE DAQ WITHOUT PROBLEMS, BUT WHEN I CONNECT THE SCXI TO DAQCARD, THE DEVICE MANAGER ACTUALIZE THE DAQCARD TO FOLLOWING DEVICE UNKNOW: PCMCIA MTD-0002, AND THE DRIVER FOR THIS DEVICE DON“T EXIST. THE PROBLEM SHOULD TO BE THE SOCCKET OF PCMCIA??? OR THE BIOS OF MY INTEL PROCESSOR ??? I HAVE A TOSHIBA SATELLITE PC, WITH INTEL. YOU CAN HELP ME???

THANKS!!!
