waveform cannot be transferred to computer from the oscilloscope

I just bought a Tektronix TDS 2001C oscilloscope that came with “NI Lab VIEW SignalExpress Tektronix Edition software. I installed de software in a laptop computer with Vista operating system. The installation process seemed to be successful. I connected the oscilloscope to the computer with a USB cable form the back of the oscilloscope. When I ran the software a guide prompts me to do the following to view the waveform displayed in the oscilloscope. “Click Add step – Acquire Signals – Daqmx Acquire – Analog Input – Acceleration” But when I click “Add step” and “Acquire Signals” there is no “Daqmx Acquire” option. There is only °IVI Acquire” and “Shared Variables” options. Whatever I choose the result is always “NO Device” So I cannot see the waveform in the computer.  Please, can someone help me? Thank you in advance.

Actually, you must use the IVI Acquire step. You must also have NI-VISA installed on your PC.

Try IVI Acquire and let me know if that worked!
