The PCI-5401 is an Abitrary Waveform Generator, meaning its job is to produce voltage waveforms. This voltage is meant to be output into a specific load resistance, usually 50Ω or a high-impedance load. It is the load impedance that actually determines how much current is sourced from the device. Please refer to this KB for more information on how to calculate the amount of current sourced by your device.
I would recommend our Analog Ouput series of devices if you have specific output current requirements. Use that link to browse through our selection of different analog output devices...each has different voltage and current settings.
