Create a 10KHz manchester using a DAQ with output BNC

I want to create a Manchester 10KHz bitstream which will then be oversampled and filtered digitally and then do a digital to analog conversion so that I get a analog output that can be used to drive a signal generator (with BNC connector). Does the internal timing of a DAQ card 6175 for example be enough for this low data rate stream.

From your question is that you wish to:

a) generate a 10kHz digital serial Manchester-encoded data stream from an output on the NI 6715E and then oversample/digital filter/D to A externally or

b) generate the digital data stream/oversample/digital filter in software and then produce the resulting analog output waveform from the NI 6715E.

If the question is (a) then the NI 6715E is not the best board to choose as the digital pattern generation functionality that you require is not present. Consider the NI 6533 instead.

If the question is (b) then the NI 6715E will be suitable. You will be able to choose an appropriate output update rate (in terms of kHz or kSamples/sec) via software.

Hello;

In case you want to generate the digital data stream/oversample/digital filter in software and then produce the resulting analog output waveform from the NI 6715, you will need to be concerned about the loop rate you can achieve in Software.

Since you will be generating one analog output data point per bitstream, you will need to do a point by point analisys, and depending on how fast you need to go, the Software loop might not keep up with that rate.

Hope this helps.

Thanks. option b was what I had in mind. I noted that the output impedance was max 0.1 ohm. The signal generator is 50 ohm BNC. Do you know if the BNC block like BNC2110, will correct my impedance mismatch (with an internal op amps) for example.

FORGET my question. I was too early in the morning. Sorry
