How to generate 8khz sine wave on PCI-6025E ?

I would like to generate a 8kHz sine wave on the PCI-6025E-analog output. I manage to generate only below 1kHz wave, Does anybody have a simple example or give me some advices to implement this. I am using Labview 6.1.

Thank you!

supermango,

Thanks for posting to the NI Forums.  When you say you are only able to generate a sine wave below 1kHz wave what do you mean?  Do you get an error when you attempt to output a higher frequency sine wave?  Is the wave a higher frequencies jagged?  Are you able to generate the proper samples to output a 8kHz wave?

Hi,

I played around with the buffer and the update rate, I got very nice sine wave below 1kHz. The higher frequencies is very jagged (about 2kHz) Is there an another method to generate high freq sine wave to analog ouput on PIC-6025e ?

Thank you!

Hey supermango,

I looked into the specs on the 6025e - https://www.ni.com/en-us/support/model.pci-6025e.html

The AO update rate is 10kHZ - so that is why your sine wave is looking jagged. It cannot output at a rate to produce a smooth sine wave. This is a hardware limitation on your card, so unfortunatley you're not going to be able to porduce a good sine wave at 8kHZ using this card.

Hope this helps,
