What operating system are you using? Is your PXI chassis connected to an external computer with a MXI cable or are you using an embedded controller? What controller are you using? Did you install the driver from the DVD or did you download it from the website? Are you installing the drivers from a network drive? Make sure that all the installing files are located on the local drive before you install. Can you install any other piece of NI software? To test this, can you download the latest version of VISA and try to install? Can you get any software to install? Could you try downloading something easy, like firefox and intalling? Are you logged in as the administrator? Make sure that you are logged in as an adminstrator. How far into the installation do you get before the error? Does it happen in the beginning or does it get a little ways in before stopping?
