square waveform

Hello,

I am trying to generate a squarewave and write it to the digital output port of a PDAQ 56. I

am able to generate the squarewave that I want with in LabView by using the square wave

generator vi, but am unable to recieve that same squarewave on the Pdaq 56.

I am using a tektronic 210 to view the squarewave that is produced on digital port of the

PDAQ 56 and it is  a very poor square wave. It is almost sawtooth instead of square and the

frequency of the wave is not constant. I am only able to reach frequencies with in the range

of 5-12 hz.

I have tryed adjusting the sampling rate on the squarewave generator vi and have received

mixed results, none of them fixed the problem.

Does my problem lie with in the sampling rate or is it something else?

Regards,

Adam D

What's a PDAQ 56? This board is for NI signal generators.

You might want to post back in a more appropriate forum with some additional information (probably the LabVIEW board). If this is some type of DAQ board, I'm not sure wiring the square wave generator to a digital output port would work. If this was an NI DAQ board, you'd have better luck wiring the generator to an analog output.
