vector signal generator Vs Agilent Sgnal Generator E 8648 A

Hi, We are in the middle of cossing either NI PXI based Modular system (as per follwing configuration) or Agilent Aignal Generator E8648A and Agilent analyser E4445-A. I as a Manager would like to go with National Instruments based development platform and for that pupose I need to give a presentation to the board that why they should invest in National Instruments rather than Agilent. I would appreciate if you guys could help me with this presentation and arrange a head to head comparison of NI and Agilent.

Hello Vicky,

Your configuration above is correct. Now to address the following question I would follow Kalin’s counsel in your other post. On-line you can find several documents that highlight PXI key benefits which I highly recommend unless there is no product that can solve your needs:

PXI Express: Enabling a High-Performance Mixed-Signal Test Platform

PXI: The Industry Standard Platform for Instrumentation

Benefits of the Industry-Standard PXI Platform for Test & Measurement Applications

Making Microwave Measurements with the PXI Platform and LabVIEW

To answer this question you will have to provide what Srdan is telling you in your other post (application specific requirements) because there are different benefits in any of the products you are looking for: size, cost, amplitude and frequency specifications, modulation or demodulation capabilities, streaming capabilities, flexibility, etc.

National Instruments has local engineers that can help you look into the details of your application and decide what is best for you at ni.com/contact
