Hardware Reuse with Sequence Step example project doesn't work with USB-6009

I have tried running the example project Hardware Reuse with Sequence Step using two analog input channels of my USB-6009 but I always get DAQ Assistant Error 50103 "The specified resource is reserved."

Since this example is supposed to show you how to avoid this problem by using a Sequence step with Allow Hardware Reuse checked, I find this puzzling and unhelpful as an example.

Is there a problem in that I am using SignalExpress 2009 in 30-day evaluation mode?

Is there a problem with USB-6009?

I have found, in the last couple of days, that support for SignalExpress seems pretty thin.  Rarely will an error message find a hit, either on the forums, the NI site, or the Web.

Hi,

I setup a USB-6009 and ran this example with the evaluation version of Signal Express without any issue.  What version of the DAQmx driver are you using?  Try using a simulated device as described here.  You cannot simulate a USB-6009; however, any multi-function DAQ board will be sufficient, e.g. PCI 6251.  Do you receive the error with a simulated device as well?

The example now runs properly.  It is possible that another SignalExpress project was open when I tried to run it before. I just discovered that SignalExpress doesn't close down one project when you open another.
