Hi j3961,

Let me know a little more about your setup, and hopefully I can help you configure Signal Express for your application.  What kind of hardware are you trying to obtain data from?  Are you using DAQ, serial or GPIB?  How often are you looking at measuring data?

It sounds like you should just be run the project repeatedly for 24 hours.  If you need it to automatically stop after a particular amount of time, it is also possible to select a particular frequency and then calculate the number of samples that would be taken in the course of 24 hours.  Feel free to play around with it a little, and get back to me with more information about your setup.

Good luck!

I have one USB-6259 device and one PCI-6259 device.  I am using one of the analog outs of the USB device to provide a 0.04 hz triangle wave (not being recorded) that runs continuously.  I am recording data from approximately 44 channels @ 20 hz.  I have the project automatically create a new log every four hours.  The project will create logs fine, but when I attempt to play the logs back the processors (dual core w/ 2G memory) sit at 50-100% and SignalExpress stops responding.  SignalExpress will also hang up when I attempt to save the project after several logs were created.

It sounds like you already found the solution to your original issue of stopping a log after 24 hours, i.e. setting a Recording Stop Condition of "Elapsed Time > 24 hours".

I am curious about the hangs that you are seeing during playback.  Can you attach your project so we can take a look at what may be going wrong?
