Hi all,
I have some questions related to Force acquiring in Signal Express.
I am using Ni cDAQ 9188 with modules NI 9205 for the accelerometers and module NI 9234 for the impact hammer 086D50.
Scaled unit for the sensors on NI 9205 is Voltage, and scaled unit for the channel on NI 9234 is Newton.
When I add all the channels in one window Data view and after I start recording the unit on the y-axis is just Amplitude.
In what unit is the data recorded for the Force and Accelerometers? Do I need to apply some conversion for both force and acceleration because I have synchronised measurements with different scaled units?
Also, can I change the min and max value after scaling for the Force (IEPE). By default it is +/-2000 N. The hammer I use can record maximum range +/-22240 N pk.
Many thanks,
Emina

Hi Emina,
I believe what you may be looking for is how to create a custom scale within Signal Express. This is when our default measurement of the module is voltage, and we want to convert it into data with another unit.
Here is a Knowledge Base article regarding this:

If you find that this is not the case, please could you go through more details about your results? So, do you obtain expected results using the NI MAX Test Panels? Steps on how to do this are as follows:

If you still require assistance, it might be useful to attach a couple of screenshots so the rest of community can also see what's going on and perhaps recommend some solid steps for you.
I hope this information was useful.
