Hello,
I recently installed NI-XNET 1.4 on my machine and a few days later I went to run a signal express program that never had operational issue until after the driver install?
What could of happened to this program to cause this failure?
I have other SE programs that load effectively after the driver update but this particular one does not.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi smoothdurban! Thanks for posting!
I'd like to get a little more information from you to see if I can get your signal express programs back up and running. First, have you changed anything in any of those programs since you were last able to run run them? Also, have you changed any hardware in your computer recently? XNET and Signal Express exist basically independently of one another, which leads me to believe that the installation of XNET was not the issue. However, one step to take to verify that nothing was altered in Signal Express during the XNET install would be to repair the Signal Express installation.
On a Windows machine, you'll want to go to your control panel under your start menu, then navigate to either "Add or Remove Programs" or "Programs and Features" depending on what version of Windows you are running. You'll next want to navigate to National Instruments Software, then double-click. Navigate through the list to find NI LabVIEW SignalExpress, then click the repiar icon in the window. You will need the installation file you used previously to do this.
If this doesn't work, please let us know!

Hey Ben
Unfortunately I did not install this piece of software to my machine so I am unsure where the installation file is. As far as I know no one has used this machine since the last time I ran this program. It was one of those typical "Why did you break it!" scenarios. I installed the driver for XNET and shortly after that I was notified by my technicians of this issue.

You mentioned that you did not install "this piece of software" on your computer. Did you mean SignalExpress or XNET? Truthfully, XNET shouldn't have caused any issues with your SignalExpress installation, but the best bet would be to rule that out entirely. I would suggest getting in touch with whoever installed SignalExpress on your machine the first time to get a hold of the installation file, and running a repair. If that doesn't work, we will be able to rule that out and start looking for other causes.

I did not Install SIgnal Express. According to my predecessor the equipment that has Signal Express installed was shipped to our facility with SE installed on it. I guess what I am trying to say that no one I can contact would know where the installation file is.
Is there a certain file extension or name I could search for to see if I could find it??

To download SignalExpress so that you can try repairing your installation, navigate to the link below:
Select Download NI Software Products then search for "SignalExpress". This should bring up a page that gives you the option to download the installer. You will want to select the option for "Current User of SignalExpress" and save the file, You should be able to save the downloaded file, and then repair the program as mentioned above by directing the installation file to the location of the file you just downloaded. If this does not work, try uninstalling SignalExpress, then reinstalling using the downloaded software. You will want to have access to your access code before you try to reinstall SignalExpress.
Keep us posted!
