We are having no luck adding controls to the Operator interface. We can add Labels, text or Ring, but not Know, Numeric, Slide or Switch. - Always get the same error message "The specified action could not be completed". Any suggestions?

Hi,
There is a bug in a part that current version of SignalExpress depends on. There is a fix however. Would you happen to have NI-DAQmx 9.3 CD or already downloaded? If you do not, please let me know. If you do or can, the instructions are below:
Although you don't need to install the whole thing, the fixed part was first released on that CD.
Here are the instructions:
1. When viewing the file contents of the CD/download, find and open the Products folder.
2. Open the MStudioCommon2005 subfolder.
3. Double-click the file called MStudioCommon.2005.msi
An .msi is like a mini-installer. It should bring up an installer dialog like a wizard, with Next and/or Cancel buttons. Press Next, until it becomes a Finish/Close button leaving all the settings default. Once the dialog goes away, you can restart your computer if you wish, but I don't believe it's necessary.
Although there is a KB on this, I don't believe that the solution is correct, so I will request that it be updated.

Hi Griffinlab,
Thank you for using the National Instruments forums. I am sorry that you are receiving this error. I found a knowledgebase article that deals with this exact error. This seems to have been caused by the specific drivers that shipped with SignalExpress. If you follow the instructions in the knowledgebase article, this issue should be resolved. I hope this helps, and I am sorry for the inconvience.
Regards,
Brian P.
