Synchronize Counter Frequency with Analog input

Hello All,

I have the USB 6210 working with LabView Signal Express V2.0 (Soon to upgrade to V2.5).

I have my:
First step to aquire analog voltage on AI0-AI7.  The timing Setting is set for Aquistion Mode = "Continuous Samples" Samples to Read = 100 and Rate = 50HZ.
Second step to aquire Counter Frequency on PFI1 with MAX Freq = 7K and MIN = 1K with Measurement Method = 1 Counter ( Low Frequency ). The timing Setting is set for Aquistion Mode = "1 Sampale (On Demand)" The Execution control is set to "Checked" Start this step after = Previous Generation Step.

My issue is the analogs are logging data at a frequency of 20msec but the Counter Frequency is logging at 100msec. I need to have them sychronized so they can be displayed on the same time scale. I can't figure out how to do this. I want the Frequency to be logged at 20msec as well.

I have attached my project.

Thank you
Steve

Hi Steve,

I do not believe that will be possible to correlate the two signals. The analog acquisition is timed off of a hardware defined sample clock while the counter pulls a sample based on the counter registry and compares to the sample clock to calculate frequency. It will be software timed due to the fact that this reading is only taken after the previous step in each iteration of the program.

Any Ideas on how to acquire the analog and frequency data together? The only thing I can think of is if the analogs are taken every 20msec and the Freq every 100msec I would need to manually adjust each point in the frequecy file to align with the analog values. I have to figure something out.

Thanks

Hi Steve,

I think you are correct post processing will be the best way to accomplish this. You can export the log file to a spreadsheet and then align the data within this file.
