Turning off IEPE in Signal Express with 9234?

Solved!
Go to solution

I have a 9234 module and I can't figure out how to turn off IEPE while using Signal Express.  A new tab named "Device" shows up when looking at 9234 modules, but that only has a pull-down list for choosing AC/DC coupling.  MAX shows a checkbox for IEPE, but I can't find that in Signal Express.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Hi ChrisCW,

In order to be able to set the IEPE you need to choose a nonvoltage task such as sound pressure or acceleration.  You will see in the picture that I have both IEPE source and value available.  If a voltage task is the only one that makes sense for your application you could still use one of the others and then scale the data.

I will go ahead and submit a product suggestion to have this added to the voltage task also.

Doh!  I didn't even think of the "Iex" items.  I was looking for checkbox like in MAX.  So I assume setting "Iex Source" to "None" turns off IEPE?

Yeah, we are more likely to disable IEPE in the voltage task, i.e. inductive tachometer.

Thanks,

Chris

You are correct, none should disable IEPE.
