LabVIEW Developer Day Steering Committee Meeting 7/23/2019

Hello,

NI has decided not to do LabVIEW developer days in Detroit anymore.  If you were not familiar with LabVIEW Developer days it was a one day conference that had hour long presentations on LabVIEW, Data Acquisition, and Control.  There were 2 simultaneous sessions so people could pick a presentation that most interested them.  At the LabVIEW user group meetings, it was proposed that the community run a LabVIEW developer days similar to the one NI ran.  What would be different is that we would be independent from NI and the presentations would be given by members of the community. 

We are forming a steering committee that would start the process of organizing the event.  The date of this meeting is July 23 at 12:00 at the NI field Sales office in Farmington Hills MI.  All are welcome to attend.  This meeting will be first of hopefully many that will start the process of organizing the LabVIEW Developer Day event.  Some of the things we will be discussing are.

1. Discuss Officer Positions

2. Legal Entity

3. Sponsorships

4. Find Space

5. Web Site

6. Funding

7. Discussion on what kind of content Developer days should include.
